Our aim is for the rowers to gain greater confidence in their ability to apply maximum force on the blade while also rowing in rhythm with hull underneath them and the individuals around them. Each day athletes will become more mindful of their movements within the boat. The rowers will have the opportunity to work in every boat class during this camp from the individual single all the way up to the ultimate team boat of the eight. A typical day will be a 2 hour water session in the morning followed by breakfast, a video session, stretching and functional movements session or a strength and conditioning session, Lunch, a second water session in the late afternoon, and then Dinner. Athletes will be given the opportunity to test their developing skills in race pace situations frequently throughout the week. During the Washington rowing camp the athletes will stay in the dorms on the University of Washington Campus, they will train out of the world class facility of Conibear Shell house, lunch each day on second floor of the Conibear Shell house.
