Canadian Henley Camp - Boarders

Steel City Rowing’s Henley camp is focused on achieving a high level of success at The Royal Canadian Henley. The practices are rigorous. During training, rowers will have the opportunity to refine their technique both in sculling and sweep boats, while building strength and endurance in preparation for the race. Athletes will be trained on water skill development with plenty of video feedback. There will also be land training sessions. These land sessions will include strength training, erg skill/speed development, as well as featuring information on the nutritional and psychological needs required by athletes to perform well in training. We require at least 1 year of rowing experience, and that all participants adhere to the tenets of the Steel City Rowing Contract.
This camp includes three weeks of training and then one week of racing at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, ON. The race will take place August 6th through the 13th. The boarders are provided with 4 meals a day and snacks in between. Depending on numbers, you will be housed with other local participants or at the boathouse in bunk beds. We will plan evening activities and show you around Pittsburgh, PA. *Please note that a valid passport is required to participate.
