Standard membership offers a discount on all classes. You are also eligible to vote on club issues and run for the board. Members may rent boathouse space for privately owned shells. Reservation and rental of small boats is also a privilege of membership.

Flower City Rowers Fall 2024

Flower City Rowing is a team that proves that rowing is still an option beyond the college years. FCR provides community, racing opportunities and a means to stay in peak physical shape for those with considerable rowing experience who can meet certain fitness and technical standards. The program involves an intense training schedule with team training many days per week focused on competing in Open regattas and rowing events. This program is for athletes: anyone with the desire to set and pursue rowing goals, commit to the challenge of training, make sacrifices within reason, and allow themselves to push their bodies and spirits beyond their natural inclinations, with guidance, support and fun. The priority of this program is to prepare rowers to perform at their best on race day. Participants are expected to commit to rowing sessions that target improvements to technique and provide fitness as well as row together cohesively as a group. Sweep and sculling opportunities will be available. All who register automatically give permission for Genesee Rowing Club to use photos from GRC events and practices.
