The North Shore Youth Invitational Regatta offers sprint racing on a 500 meter course. Racing is open to novice and experienced Junior aged rowers.

There are three categories:

• Novice - Any athlete that began rowing in the summer of 2017 or later.
• Junior Varsity - Any athlete who has only completed at regattas in the Lower Mainland - such as Delta.
• Varsity - Any athlete who has completed at one or all of the following regattas: Brentwood, Shawnigan, CSSRA's, BC Champs, or Royal Canadian Henley

Composite crews are permitted providing that the above categories are followed.

Athletes may race in a category above their skill level, but 'racing down' will not be permitted.

Races are held on a 500 meter course with a floating start. The course will not ne buoyed.

Novice races will be timed finals while JV and Varsity crews will have both heats and finals.

Tents can be set up on Panorama Beach where there is plenty of room. This location also offers an ideal spot to view the finish line.

All boats will be wet launching. Please make sure you bring sandals or other similar waterproof shoes. Rowers will need to walk out into the water about mid-shin level in order to safely launch their boats. DCRC will be providing beach marshals to help facilitate this.
