The 21st Annual Peninsula Indoor Rowing Championships

The rowing coaches, student-athletes, parents, and school administration of SI would like to welcome you to this year’s Peninsula Indoor Rowing Championships! 

We are thrilled to get back to business as usual, after a two-year hiatus during COVID.

This year the event will be in the Cowell Gymnasium. See Google Street View for the visual of the entrance.

Entry fees:

$20 per competitor for 2000 meter individual events

$15 per competitor for 1000 meter individual events

$10 per competitor for the 500 meter Dash events.

$25 per Relay Team for the 2000 meter relays

Late Entries: NO RACE DAY entries will be accepted.

PIRC's will be racing up to 36 ergs at once. 

NOTE: For those wishing to qualify for the World Indoor Rowing Championship, please know that there are different requirements for in-person WIRC racers or virtual WIRC racers. See https://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/racing/wric for more info.

Distances: 2000 meters, 1000 meters, 500 meters

Categories:

• Masters 2K, 1K, and 500m in Open and Lightweight

• Adaptive Masters 2K

• Juniors U15, U16, U17, and U19/Youth 2K, 500m, Relay

• Juniors U15 1K

• Juniors Coxswain Dash of 500m

Additional Race Information:

• All competitors must check in at least 45 minutes prior to your start time otherwise you will be scratched from your event (for the first AM Masters event, you have 30 minutes. But earlier is better!)

• All competitors must register on Regatta Central.

• There will be limited warm-up ergs. Please plan your warm-up time carefully.

• For most events, there are 20-minute centers. You may do limited warmup on your race erg.

• Feel free to bring your own snacks, but also please enjoy some light refreshments that will be available.

• Restrooms are just outside the gym doors, within the facility.

• An elevator for access is within the facility, nearby.
