Thursday, July 17- Wind Update

Due to high winds on the course, racing will now start at 11:00 a.m. The first launch will be available at 10:15 a.m. 

Because of the morning delay, we will not be able to get all racing in today. The last race of the day will be the Women’s Masters Open D-E 2-, Race 674V. All events after race 674V will be cancelled and will not be rescheduled to later on this week, due to packed racing days from Friday-Sunday, 

The Sunset Sprint races are still planned to take place and we will send out more information in the coming hours.

Octogenarian Celebration

On Saturday, July 19, at 2:00pm USRowing will be honoring all 2025 RowFest National Championships attending octogenarian athletes. To ensure all octogenarian athletes can receive a gift, we ask that they RSVP for the ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at the awards area located between the grandstands and the finish line. We look forward to honor all competitors age 80 or above at this ceremony. If all octogenarians at RowFest attend, we will break last year's total of 14 competitors honored.

Please RSVP if you are an octogenarian competitor and as a spectator please join us in honoring them Saturday at 2pm if you are racing or spectating at RowFest! To register: Octogenarian Ceremony RSVP

Masters Happy Hour

Masters rowers! Please join USRowing at this year's Masters Happy Hour on Saturday, July 19, from 7:30 to 10pm. We are hosting the happy hour with our friends at Arbor Brewing Company’s Corner Brewery, located at 720 Norris St in Ypsilanti (just ten minutes from the course).

Come try their limited edition Either Oar Lager, which celebrates our sport and this event, and perhaps take some home. Your first beer on Saturday is on us (just show your racing or coaching wristband).

Athletes & Coaches Pre-Regatta Meeting 

IMPORTANT! The RowFest Athletes and Coaches Pre-Regatta Meeting will be divided into two separate meetings; one to address the Open/U23/Youth/U17 events that will happen from July 12-15, and one to address the Masters events that will happen from July 17-20.

Open/U23/Youth/U17 Events: Athletes and Coaches Pre-Regatta Meeting will be scheduled for July 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. ET.  This meeting will take place virtually, via zoom. Click here for the link to register.

College Fair 

The College Fair at Rowfest will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15 and 16. This allows the College Fair to overlap with Rowfest racing and the International Rowing Challenge, which includes promising youth rowers from at least five nations and replaces CanAmMex.

Based on coach and athlete feedback from recent years, we are overhauling the setup. USRowing will be setting up an area with refreshments and standing tables for coaches to meet with athletes at times convenient for both.

Attending the College Fair is free this year for college and athletes. USRowing will provide athletes a list of names of attending colleges. The deadline for college to register is Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 11:59pm ET. Athletes can register until Sunday, July 13, at 11:59pm ET.
