Since 1978 the South Niagara Rowing Club has hosted the High School Invitational Regatta on the South Course of the Welland International Flatwater Centre in Welland, ON on the Victoria Day weekend in May. The event schedule - now at 43 runs over 2 days.
2015 marked the largest High School Invitational regatta with approximately 1,200 participants, 517 entries competing from 66 schools in Canada and the United States.
