Nathan Benderson Park, operated by SANCA, is pleased to present the 2016 Sarasota-Bradenton Chase Race on November 5 & 6 presented by the Bradenton Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
This race provides a spectacular course starting and finishing within a 700 meters of the launch and recovery docks!
Each crew will have a decision to make as you come out of the "return canal" - to race down the Regatta Island shore, in front of your fans and parents, otherwise to continue across the lake and carry your speed along the western shore where your coach will be waiting to offer all sorts of encouragement.
NEW FOR 2016 - DRAGON BOAT RACING! Challenge yourself in either the Club Mixed Elites (at HIGH NOON) or the Club Mixed Intermediates (3:45) to the race 5000 meters course around the perimeter of Nathan Benderson Park lake. Bring your own boat or rent from our partners PAN AM Dragon Boats ($225). Stay after racing for a chance to paddle on the buoyed course that will be host to the 2016 World Rowing Championships.
