Admission to Cherry Creek Reservoir: There will be a daily park fee of $9. This is a state park; your Colorado State Park pass will cover your admission.

Parking: All visiting competitors will be required to pay the $9 daily park fee per vehicle. Limited free parking is available at the Cherry Creek High School parking lot, southwest of the Union Ave. and S. Dayton St. intersection, near the West entrance to Cherry Creek. Visiting competitors may park in the lot by Hobie Hill (on your left immediately after you pass the road to the marina, if entering from the West side of the park, visible by the "whale tale" picnic spots).

Car-top Carries: Cars transporting boats should park in the same lot with spectators and competitors or in the Mountain Loop parking lot.

Adaptive Rowers: Adaptive rower may launch from the Mile High dock. We are water launching from the public boat ramp at the west end of the Reservoir and off our club’s launch dock that has a relatively firm grassy area and a short gravel path and a stone step.  Both sites are near parking; 100-200 feet.

Check in: All competitors are required to check-in at the registration table located in the registration tent on Hobie Hill (see note above in "Parking"). All competitors need to be checked in by 6:15 am at the latest (races start at 6:30 am).

Registration/Events: All boat registrations will be managed by Regatta Central. There are the following event categories: masters, open and juniors, novice and learn to row and adaptive. Masters events will be handicapped based on U.S. Rowing’s standards for 1000 meter races. Open and junior races are not handicapped. All individuals wishing to participate in a handicapped race must register the Wednesday prior to the event. Masters registrations after Wednesday will not be given time credits. All athletes must be paid in full thru Regatta Central by the deadline.

Coxwains should be excluded from the registration fee.

Late registrations may be considered but will incur a fee of $10 per boat.

There will be finals only racing – no heats. If due to the number of entries, an event has to be split into two separate races, final results will be based on times. When possible, rowers will be placed into races based on handicaps. Awards will be given to first, second and third place finishers. Handicaps will be considered for masters events.

Waivers: All rowers must sign the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club (RMRC) waiver.  Please see the waiver section and download it there.  Competitors under the age of 18 will need a parent’s signature on the waiver.

Boat Inspections: All boats entering Cherry Creek Reservoir will need to be inspected for Aquatic Nuisance Species such as zebra mussels. Reservoir staff will be on hand to inspect all boats participating in the regatta prior to launching from the beach.

Launching and Docking:  All boats coming to the regatta will launch from Hobie Hill, the Rocky Mountain Rowing Club or the marina. In an effort to keep events on schedule, please come prepared to launch as quickly as possible.

Coxswain’s Meeting: A coxswains meeting will be held at 5:50 AM at the Registration Tent. The meeting is required for any coxswains, 1x rowers and 2x/4x bow rowers. Course layout, traffic pattern and safety protocols will be covered at the meeting.

Bow Numbers:  All competitors must provide their own bow numbers!!!
