Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the USRowing requirements for regattas for the remainder of 2020, the Music City Head Race will not be held in a similar fashion to previous years.  The regatta board is currently discussing our options of 1. An in person event that meets the USRowing requirements of 120 mile radius, one day, singles only event 2. Virtual Race or 3. No in person nor virtual race.

Please note that while we would love to host our regatta, there are multiple reasons why we are not able to host our event as we have in the past.  We are engaging in conversations with the local clubs to explore the potential to host the smaller, in person event that meets USRowing requirements.  As of right now, if we do not have a singles only regatta, we are leaning toward not having a virtual event due to the current virtual racing options, which appear to be plentiful.  That said, if there is sufficient demand for an early October virtual event, then we would be open to reconsidering.  Please email [email protected] by Friday, September 4th if you would have significant interest in a Music City Head Race virtual race the first or second weekend of October.
