The 2021 Ironmen Erg Classic will be a 100% virtual event with two ways to participate: 
<ul> 
 <li>Live Virtual Racing&nbsp;medal event January 23 using the Time-Team platform via Zoom and YouTube Live.</li> 
 <li>Participatory event with self-submitted scores January 16-22.</li> 
 <li>Physical medals will be mailed for the Live Racing events (see Rules and Eligibility).</li> 
</ul> 
Requirements to participate: 
<ul> 
 <li>All participants:&nbsp; Signed USRowing 2021 waiver:&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="https://membership.usrowing.org/">https://membership.usrowing.org/&nbsp;</a></li> 
 <li>Participatory events:&nbsp; Rowing machine (any model) with ability to do a timed, fixed-distance piece using a performance monitor or&nbsp;app.&nbsp; </li> 
 <li>Live events:&nbsp; Concept 2 rower (any model) with PM3, PM4, or PM5 performance monitor, connected via USB-A cable to a PC, MacBook, or Chromebook with internet.&nbsp; Time-Team <a href="https://youtu.be/eNaJirIg7ME">demo</a>.</li> 
</ul> 
New for 2021: 
<ul> 
 <li>Team of 4 event where 4 rowers contribute to 2000 total meters.&nbsp; Ideal for CrossFit, recreational, or parent teams.</li> 
 <li>Para/Adaptive/Inclusive&nbsp;events in order to offer a competitive opportunity to a broader group of athletes.</li> 
 <li>Lightweight events will be offered on the honor system.</li>
