Collegiate Racing from Across the Country

The Knecht Cup Regatta is held annually in early April and brings together Collegiate racing crews from  across our of nation- California, Florida, Maine, as well as the midwest and the midatlantic area.  The Knecht family has recently been invited to host this regatta in honor of their father, William Knecht, an Olympian and an early supporter of rowing on the Cooper River.

Held on a six lane, fully-buoyed 2000 meter course with a state-of-the-art starting platform, this regatta sees over 800 entries with about 2000 competitors each year.

Please note the Event List is a listing only of events, not the order of racing. Order of Racing will be published shortly. The expectation is that Women's and Men's Doubles and Quads will be scheduled apart from each other. No weigh ins for Lightweight rowers or Coxswains.  Coach certifications required.
