Welcome to the 14th Annual OARS Masters Invitational!

The OARS Masters will be hosting our event at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Come and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while participating in top notch competition.  This race course is 1,000 meters on Turkey Lake, with a floating start.

Park Entrance Fee -   Please share this with all of your team members, friends & anyone coming to the regatta.

Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake has an entry fee of $2 per person/per day plus transaction fees.  Please use this registration to pre-purchase your parking pass in advance of the regatta (1-2 weeks before) This includes ALL athletes, coaches, trailer drivers, support staff, parents, friends, & family members.

They will not accept cash at the gate. Click here: OARS Invitational Parking Registration

Select the quantity of people for each day that will be riding in the vehicle with you as you pass through the entry gates.  Upon completion of the registration, you will receive 2 emails.  One from Orlando Area Rowing Society with your receipt, and one from SportsEngine with your parking pass that shows quantities.  Please print the parking pass and place it in the window of your vehicle so the gate attendant can clearly see it.  A parking pass is required for entry into the park.

Waivers:

Because we are using USRowing referees, we have to be sanctioned by USRowing. This also ensures that your teams are covered if you use USRowing Insurance. Everyone must complete the US Rowing Waiver. A new waiver was just updated last week. Please send this out to all of your members to complete to be compliant for 2023:

  1. Go to https://membership.usrowing.org
  2. Click on Log In under Individuals and log in using your member number and password
  3. On your profile page, click the blue button “Sign Agreement & Waiver” and follow the steps on screen
  4. Done! Thank you for signing the latest version of the waiver.
  5. If you are having difficulties, call USRowing directly (609) 751-0700

We will be using the NOARA waiver.  Please direct your teams here to sign the waiver.  This must be completed by Sunday, March 6th. Any entries without signed waivers will be scratched.

If your team is not a member of FSRA, you will need to submit a certificate of insurance and NOARA waivers for all participants. You should have each member sign the waiver as unaffiliated.

Please inform all your rowers, parents and friends that no drones are allowed at this event.

Volunteer Opportunities will be available! More information to follow!

Bill Frederick Park opens at 6:00am. It is preferred that trailers arriving for Sunday events, plan to be at the gate after 6:00pm on Saturday or 6:00am Sunday.  Contact regatta chair via email for afterhours gate access. NO Saturday practice is available due to the Youth Regatta that day.

Master’s races will award medals in each heat.

The OARS Masters Invitational is free for all spectators, but there is a lot parking fee at Bill Frederick Park.  Spectators are invited to bring chairs or blankets for viewing along the lake.

There will be food and merchandise vendors at the race site Sunday, for your convenience.

We are looking forward to another awesome day of racing!
