Welcome to the Green Mountain Head Regatta! After many years of holding the Green Mountain Head on our home waters in Putney, VT, we relocated the event just a few miles upstream in 2022.
This year's regatta will be our 40th! Come enjoy our tradition of New England prizes... Vermont maple syrup (first), a bag of apples (second), and a gallon of cider (third). Also (as GMH tradition dictates!) rowers are invited to convene for a light lunch at the conclusion of racing.

RACEDAY SCHEDULE:
7:30am Registration Opens
8:00am Rowers/Coaches Meeting
9:00am Singles Events Begin
10:20am Doubles Events Begin
11:00am Awards and Lunch!
Regatta Venue: Herrick's Cove, 4 Herrick's Cove Rd., Bellows Falls, VT 05101 (US I-91, Exit 6)
Parking: Most competitors will be cartopping; there will be a drive-through unloading / dropoff area. Teams planning to bring a trailer are asked to email [email protected] prior to the event.
Race course: Three mile stake race. Beginning upstream on the far side of the river, proceeding approximately 1.5 miles to the turn. 1.5 mile return downstream on the near side of the river.
Launch/Return: There is limited space at both launching dock and the return dock. We ask all rowers to be efficient; help at both docks will be provided. Only athletes on the docks, please.
Seeding will be based on the finishing times of the prior year; newcomers and those who did not enter in 2022 will follow.
