Come experience the First Coast Head Race, the oldest head race in Florida. This annual regatta is held in Jacksonville on the St. Johns and Arlington Rivers.
The regatta is a 3-mile course that winds through protected waters, skirts beautiful marshes, and passes through several riverfront communities to provide an excellent test of endurance, ingenuity, and perseverance.
Event offerings include sculling (singles, doubles, and quads) and sweep (pairs, fours, and eights), with separate events for middle school, high school, college, and master athletes.
The race schedule normally allows for doubling. Sign up for a sculling event, then sweep your way down the course in pairs, fours, and eights.
We’re excited to see you in October!
