Despite dire forecasts of thunderstorms, the day turned out to be clear and hot.  The Schuylkill river was under 8' at the Norristown gauge, flat and slow (under 1000 ft/sec).  There was a slight breeze which shifted through the day.  All races ran smoothly.  Thanks to the good conditions, races started on time throughout the day.  No significant incidents to report, although a few rowers were treated for heat exhaustion.

All the crews and families in attendence were very competetive, displayed great team spirit, were wonderful guests, and cooperative and sportsmanlike without exception.

Duck #450 edged out a tight pack to win the Rubber Ducky Regatta.

Many thanks to all who attended, we hope that you enjoyed the day as much as we did.  Special thanks to the our racing officials, the Upper Merion Boat Club members who kindly volunteered their time, the hard-working coaches from every team, our parent volunteers, the Swedesburg Fire Company, the Bridgeport Police department, Spring Mill Water Rescue, Lafayette Ambulance Squad, Upper Merion Township Park & Rec, Upper Merion Area School District staff, and the Borough of Bridgeport.
