First of all, I would like to thank a VRC crew that came forward and identified that their finish order recorded did not match the actual finish order (thank you Lisa, Kylie, Birgitte, Kendra and Murray). We verified with coaches from DDRC and VRC, and with volunteers from the finish team that we do have the order that represents what actually happened. Please accept my apologies for this error on our part and we wil try to be better than the Swiss Ski Federation in terms of timing in the future.
The changes impact both the girls big boat order, and women's big boat order resulting in a new winner in that one category: bow 112: Geoffrion, S in a VRC W4+ (the cake in question remains presented to VRC).
On happier news, still at the top of the charts:
Congratulations to Loraine McCulloch of the Vancouver Rowing Club for having the best time related to the Gold Medal Standard as calculated for her boat type, gender and age. The top 3 boats were all within 1% of their own standards, and the next 2 were only 1% behind them. Loraine is this year's City of Vancouver Rowing Champion!
Some boats missed buoys: bow numbers 102, 106, 123, 129. In the rules this is grounds for exclusion. In my calculations, I deleted your start time which left you with a finish time. The results are not meaningful as a result.
