Wine Country Rowing Classic

  • Hosted By: North Bay Rowing Club, Sonoma State Rowing Club

Viewing the race course is a bit of a nature hike for the Wine Country Rowing Classic.

From the Petaluma Marina, a 10 minute hike will take you to the finish line. The trailhead is behind the Sheraton Hotel at the South End of the parking lot.  It takes about 3 minutes to bike the distance.

To view the last 1,000 meters of the race, walk 25 to 30 minutes from the trailhead along the Bay Trail that winds its way to Shollenberger Park and down to the river.  It is a 10 minute bike ride.

After the race, you may want to visit the Petaluma Visitor's Center located on the corner of Lakeville Street and East Washington.  You can find out about the local wineries that may be open for wine tasting.  You may want to visit downtown Petaluma for shopping or dining.
