Information About Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center:

Formerly known as the Carroll Gym, the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center was revamped and improved in 2002.  Named after long-time Blue Streak coach and former Athletic Director Tony DeCarlo, the DeCarlo Varsity Center offers both spectators and athletes a fresh environment, as a new floor, chairback bleacher seating on the ground level, benchback bleacher seating in the upper levels, improved lighting fixtures, new scoreboards, and a reconstructed press row area with a sound system were all added.  In addition, several office areas, as well as flooring on the balconies were upgraded as part of the project.  The DeCarlo Varsity Center debuted on October 15, 2002 as the John Carroll women's volleyball squad hosted Mount Union in OAC action.
