The Stonewall Regatta is held on the Anacostia River located in SE Washington, DC. All events will be 1000 meters.  Download a copy of the course mapA handout will be available on race day as well.

Conditions: Thecourse is on a wonderful stretch of water starting just before the SousaBridge (Pennsylvania Avenue) and finishing between the double I-295 bridges. Typical conditions for this course are ideal for sprint racing, with minimal cross-winds, generally flat water, and slow surface currents.

Start and Finish: The start will be just before the Sousa Bridge and races will be run downriver towards the boathouse. The finish will be between the double I-295 bridges and just in front of the Anacostia Community Boathouse.

Launching and Warm-up: Launching takes place at the Anacostia Community Boathouse.Thedock space at this boathouse is limited, so we will be running 10-minute centers on each race to help alleviate crowding at and on the docks. All boats will use the down-river dock and will warm up along the course up to the start and in the basin just up-river from the start and the Sousa Bridge.  Maps will be available diagramming proper navigation of the river and bridge arches.
