In case of bad weather, an alternate course may be rowed. The alternate course ends at the 3000 meter mark. All rowers, including novices will race this alternate course if needed.
Racing will take place on the traditional Fall Classic 5000 meter course on the Willamette River in downtown Portland. Junior novice crews will race 2800 meters.
