Be advised that PINCHOT LAKE does NOT have docks.  All boats wet launch & land, so your rowers and coxswains should wear appropriate footwear.  Where we launch and land the lake bottom is sand.  

Gifford Pinchot State Park (found at Gifford Pinchot Site).  The launch site is located at the "Quaker Race Day Use Area", found on the northwest side of the Lake, off PA State Route 177.

Friday Practice Map.  THIS MAP IS NOT COMPLETELY ACCURATE (lane numbers are wrong).  Lane 6 will be the travel lane up to the start.  Lanes 4-5 will be dead.  Lanes 1-3 will be the practice lanes down the course.  Essentially it is a left-hand rule.  DO NOT GO PAST THE STAKE BOATS!!!!!  Be advised that the buoy lines will be installed starting on Friday.  For the safety of the installers and your crews, please give them plenty of space.  Also, bear in mind that the buoy lanes will not be straight initially; as they settle they will go taut and straighten (probably overnight).
