Lightweights are 165lbs. or less for men; 135 lbs. or less for women. Lightweights will weigh-in as a group 30 minutes prior to their event. Each lightweight is allowed a total of two tries on the scale to make their weight. If they miss the second try they will not be allowed to race that event.

RELAY RULES: The Relay Race is 3K. This event is FREE if you are registered for another event, otherwise the cost is $15 per seat pre-registration and $20 per seat after Feb. 3. Relay teams are made up of four participants and all 4 must participate as a rower in the event. When finished with their rowing segment each rower must secure the handle against the machine or hand the handle to the next rower directly. Teammates cannot touch the handle while it is being rowed, however they may hold onto the rower's feet while they row.

ELIGIBILITY: All competitors must be a member of and racing for a club that is a USRowing organizational member or a full privilege individual member of USRowing. If you want to become an individual member of US Rowing, you may join online at: www.usrowing.org.

WAIVERS:The Arizona Indoor Rowing Championship is a US Rowing Registered Regatta therefore all competitors must complete the waiver and bring it to the registration table on race day. Competitors under age 18 must have a parent or guardian's signature on the waiver.

AWARDS: All competitors will receive a participation medal. Gold rowing medals will be awarded to the first place competitor in each category of an event. All event categories will have a lightweight and open weight category.
