A meeting for all Coaches, Coxswains, and Scullers is required by our US Coast Guard permit, and will be held at the CRF boathouse at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2009. A second Coach, Coxswain, and Scullers meeting will be repeated at 10:30 a.m.

Due to the challenging nature of the course, attendance at these meetings by all coxswains and scullers is MANDATORY and wristbands will be distributed to all attendees. Dockmasters will not permit coxswains or scullers who did not attend the meeting to launch.

COURSE & COXSWAIN CLINIC (Fri. 9/18) :
Course & Coxswain clinic to be given by Case Western Reserve University Head Coach, Preya Nixon, and Cleveland State University Coach, Ron Dorchak, on Friday, September 19th.  Here you will learn how to negotiate the turns of the Cuyahoga for your crew and you will have an opportunity to row the course with a coach's launch escorting you.  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ROW THE RACE COURSE ON YOUR OWN.

Due to the nature of commercial traffic on the Cuyahoga River, no crews are allowed to practice without a coaching launch.  There are strict safety guidelines that must be adhered to and only a Cleveland Rowing Foundation certified coach may accompany a visiting shell.  The cost is $30/team and can be paid by cash or check (made out to Cleveland Rowing Foundation), to be handed in at the venue.  If you are interested in attending, please mark your "Registration Form" accordingly.

Available time slots :
