Hot Head Regatta

  • Hosted By: Tempe Town Lake Rowing
  • 2016 Registered Regatta

The Tempe Rowers Association (TRA) is set to host the 8th Annual Hot Head Regatta on Tempe Town Lake. This is the second year of the TRA's involvement in the Hot Head Regatta and their fourth overall regatta. They are quickly establishing a reputation for putting on quality, well run rowing events.

The Hot Head Regatta is the oldest boating event on Tempe Town Lake, the inaugural being held in 2002. The lake now hosts events in rowing, dragon boating, outrigger canoeing, kayaking and numerous triathlons.

Since its inception the Hot Head Regatta has allowed teams from the southwest region of the United States the opportunity to experience the beauty and uniqueness of racing in the desert. Word seems to be spreading fast, as each year we are getting entries from crews on the east coast as well as the midwest region. The Tempe Rowers Association looks forward to your participation in the 2009 Hot Head Regatta.
