This year Head of the Mohawk will include junior and collegiate races as well as open and masters events.

The Head of the Mohawk Regatta, one of America's oldest and well-established regattas, will take place on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010, at Aqueduct Park on a most beautiful stretch of the Mohawk River.  Races begin at 9:30 AM and continue until about 2 PM.

The Head of the Mohawk is a 2.6 mile head race on a straight downriver course, starting just below the New York State boat launch site at Freeman's Bridge, and ending at the Aqueduct Boathouse on Aqueduct Road in Niskayuna, New York.

Competition is open to masters, collegiate, open and junior/high school rowers. Singles, doubles, fours and eights are welcome, as individuals, scholastic,  college or community rowing teams

Come and enjoy what this venue has to offer!  The course and the excellent viewing make it a perfect race for both novices and experienced rowers.  Convenient parking, food, concessions and port-a-johns are available on site.  Assistance is offered with parking of cars and trailers. Nearby hotels and the upstate location, off interstate routes 87 and 90, make this a great location at which to compete.
