Princeton 3-Mile Chase

  • Hosted By Princeton University & Carnegie Lake Rowing Assn

The Princeton 3-Mile Chase is a head race hosted by the Princeton University crew coaching staff for collegiate crews.  Although it is called a 3-Mile Chase, the actual distance is 2¾ miles.

Up until 2008 the regatta was limited to varsity crews only.  After 28 years The Belly of the Carnegie Regatta, a race for freshmen and novices, was terminated and freshmen/novice events were added to The Chase.

The Belly Bowl trophy is awarded to the school with the combined best time for the top boats in the Men's Freshmen Heavyweight 8+, Men's Lightweight Freshmen 8+ and Women's Novice Open 8+ events.
