Sept. 24 - NO TRAILERS BEFORE 3 PM ON SATURDAY SEPT. 25 

The course is closed until that time.

Sept.21- Coaches and Coxswains meeting will be held at 7:45  First boats launch at 8 AM

Sept. 20 - Passing under the bridges will be discouraged due to safety concerns but not prohibited.  It is the responsibility on crews approaching the start, not to enter under a bridge while two shells are racing under the bridge.  The proper proceedure would be to hold short of the bridge to allow the racing to continue, unimpeded.  Failure to do this will result in a penalty.

Fairport Crew Club to Host Lift Bridge Regatta Sunday,September 26th

Fairport, NY -- The Sixth Annual Lift Bridge Regatta will be held Sunday,

September 26, 2010.Racing starts at 8am and finishes by 2:15 pm. Past regattas have

drawn 4500+ spectators to the Fairport area.

Race categories include Men's/Women's Masters Sculling,Girls/Boys

Novice and Varsity 4+ and 8+, Men's/Women's Open Masters 8+, 4+, 2+,

and Girls/Boys Lightweight 4+ and 8+.Past participants have included host Fairport

Crew Club, Our Lady of Mercy and McQuaid High Schools,Brighton Rowing Club,

Pittsford Crew Club, RIT, Cazenovia, Genesee Rowing Club, Westside Rowing out of

Buffalo and Syracuse Chargers Rowing Club amongst others.

The races start at the canal floodgates northeast of Interstate 490 near Kreag Road Park and finish at the historic Lift Bridge in the Village of Fairport.Participant viewing is best along the canal path from Perinton Park headed towards the finish line at the Lift Bridge.
