Lake Lemon was built in 1952 and is located 10 miles east of Bloomington, Indiana. It is the home to the IU Rowing Hoosiers. The lake is the 11th largest lake in the state of Indiana and the 7th largest public reservoir with 1,650 acres, 24 miles of shoreline, and an average depth of 9.7 feet. Rowers share the lake with all types of habitat, including eagles, osprey, geese and heron. Lake Lemon is also home to Riddle Point Rowing Association, the Bloomington Yacht Club and the Boys and Girls Club.

Race Course

The course begins at the East end of the lake at Reed Point on the North shore. It follows the North shore toward the West, turns around the island toward the South shore and continues along the South shore heading East, ending at Riddle Point.

Spectators can best observe the race and finish from Riddle Point Park.
