PROPOSED  PARKING  &  DRIVING  INSTRUCTIONS

 Sheriff's Deputies will be on hand to assist.

There are two entrances to the Park:  North  and  South.

 

THANK  YOU  VERY  MUCH
FOR  FOLLOWING  THESE  INSTRUCTIONS

PARKING  FEE:   $ 5  per vehicle
There is no charge for  Boat Trailers,  Team Tent Haulers,  or  Team Buses  to park,
but a  Parking Pass is required.  These will be supplied on site by the Arrivals Team..

TEAM  BUS  PARKING:
>    Buses will drop off their rowers & coaches at the Shuttle Bus drop off point,
      near the footbridge at the north end of the lake.
>    They will loop around and exit towards the Remote Parking Lot and be directed to
      designated areas adjacent to the traffic circle nearest the Remote Parking Lot.
      (This is the same as in previous regattas.)
>    Team Buses should enter via the north entrance (see directions below).

 

SPECTATORS  (NORTH ENTRANCE):
Go directly to the  North Remote Parking Lot  (see directions below)
only  via  University Blvd.

HANDICAPPED  SPECTATORS   (TWO  CHOICES):
You  must  display a valid  Handicap Parking  sticker / permit / hangtag.

If you will need assistance after you park, please advise the Parking Team Volunteer in the Parking Lot.

NORTH ENTRANCE:
Follow directions below to the  North Entrance  (see directions below).
Show Parking Staff valid Handicapped authorization.
Drive vehicle to Shuttle Bus Loop area and park in Handicap spaces only.

SOUTH ENTRANCE:
Follow directions below to the  South Parking Lot  (see directions below).
Show Parking Staff valid Handicapped authorization
Park in Handicap Lot.

TEAM  FOOD - TENT  HAULER   (SOUTH ENTRANCE):
The   Team Tent Area   will be available starting at  9 am  on Friday.

Follow directions below to South Entrance.

>    When you are approx 15 minutes away, contact the  Arrivals Team Leader
       to alert him of your arrival:    cell: 941 . 650 . 8469  Jeff Koehler
>    After you drop off your Team Tents, Food, etc, you are required to
      remove your vehicle from the park.
>    You have two options:  park in the East End Lot on the North Shore Berm
      (No Charge, but requires some walking.)
      (Pass is required and will be provided on site by Arrivals Team.) 
>    Or, you may choose to bring your vehicle to a  Spectator Parking Lot 
      ( $ 5  charge for weekend.)
>    We would prefer all Friday drop offs to be done before 7 pm.
       If you are coming on Friday and cannot arrive before 7 pm,
       please let us know in advance.
>    There will be overnight security.
      Secure your own area,  cover with a tarp,  and do not leave valuables.

VENDOR  TRAILER   (SOUTH ENTRANCE):
The   Vendor Village   will be available starting at  9am  on Friday.

Follow directions below to South Entrance.

>    When you are approx 15 minutes away, contact the  Arrivals Team Leader
       to alert him of your arrival:    cell: 941 . 650 . 8469  Jeff Koehler
>    After you drop off your vendor materials you are required to
       remove your vehicle to the south end parking lots
       (No Charge, but Pass is required & will be provided on site by the Arrivals Team) 
>    Or, you may choose to bring your vehicle to a  Spectator Parking Lot 
      ( $ 5  charge for weekend)
>    We would prefer all Friday drop offs to be done before 7 p.
       If you are coming on Friday and cannot arrive before 7 p,
       please let us know in advance.
>    There will be overnight security.

CAR  TOP  CARRIERS    (NORTH ENTRANCE):
The  Boat Trailer & Car Top Area  will be available starting at  9 am  on Friday.

Follow directions below to North Entrance.

>    When you are approx 15 minutes away, contact the  Arrivals Team Leader
       to alert him of your arrival:    cell: 941 . 376 . 5100  Roy DuPuis

>    Please drop your boat to slings and remove your car to the
      East End Parking Lot on the North Shore Berm.
      Parking in this lot is Free for Car Tops but a Parking Pass is required
      and will be provided by the Arrivals Team.

>    We would prefer all Friday drop offs to be done before 7p.
      If you are coming on Friday and cannot arrive before 7p,
      please let us know in advance.

>   There will be overnight security.
     Secure your own area,  cover with a tarp,  and  do not leave valuables accessible.

BOAT  TRAILERS    (NORTH ENTRANCE):
Same as Car Top Carriers above.

Once you park your Boat Trailer, unhitch and move your truck
to the  East End Parking lot  on the  North Shore Berm.
 
Parking here is Free for Tow Vehicles but a Parking Pass is required
and will be provided on site by the Arrivals Team.

 

NORTH  ENTRANCE:

From   I-75   take  University Pkway,  Exit 213.
Drive   WEST  on  University Pkway  approx.  0.3  mi.
Turn     SOUTH  (left)  on  No. Cattlemen Rd  (traffic light).
Drive approx  0.5  mi,  following signs  and  pass thru  3  traffic circles.

As you approach  2nd traffic circle,  watch for signs.    Follow Parking Staff instructions.

SOUTH  ENTRANCE:

From   I-75   take   Fruitville Rd,  Exit 210.
Drive  WEST  on  Fruitville Rd.  approx. 1.2  mi.
Turn    NORTH  (right)  on  No. Honore Ave  (traffic light).
Drive approx   1.4  mi.
Turn    RIGHT  at entrance to  Park.
Follow road to  Parking Staff.
