The 2011 edition of the Sarasota Invitational will be our second year.
In our inaugural year, we had over 300 boat entries and over 600 competitors registered.
This year, we are expanding the regatta to a two day format with Youth on Saturday and Masters on Sunday.
We will be offering an Elite Singles Showcase in a Mens and a Womens division.
There will be Meet & Greet opportunities for you to hob nob with past and future Olympians from US Rowing. Please visit www.sarasotainvitational.com for information on the celebrity rowers.
We will also be offering Charity "Pro-Am" style 2X races -- your chance to row with a National Team rower -- the chance of a lifetime for most of us. There will be both Youth and Masters divisions for this and proceeds will be used to develop an Adaptive Rowing Program in Sarasota.
Our special guest will be Laura Schwanger, Bronze Medalist at the Beijing Paralympics
The MetLife Blimp will be overhead on Saturday, and Snoopy will be making appearances as well.
