CHANGE OF VENUE

Bass River Quarry Ottawa County

Due to flooding on the Grand River and concern for damage of shells due to increased debris, the 45^th (47^th now) Annual Mid America Collegiate Rowing Association Championships will be relocated to Bass River Quarry in Ottawa County. The water isprotected and without current. This is a six lane course that is 1850 meters long with plenty of room for a pre race warm-up.

 In order to run a smooth and successful regatta, we need your help in informing your team, friends, family, and supporters. The regatta location is about 15 minutes west of the Grand Valley State University campus.Below you will find parking instructions for trailers, vans/buses, and spectators.  Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to a great day of racing on Bass River Quarry.

 Parking

There are strict parking areas to make room enough for all trailers and team vehicles. Please read the information below and distribute itto your team. There will be officers there to help direct you.

 Trailer parking will be along N. Cedar Road when the paved road turns to gravel. At the end of the gravel road is the launching area. Gravel parking is for trailers only.

Van/Bus parking will in on N. Cedar Road in the Riverside County Park parking area. You will see it to the left before the paved road turns to gravel.

Spectator parking is in Bass River Recreation Area. It is before N. Cedar Road on 104^th. If you reach Sleeper Road you have gone too far. You can see the entire racecourse from this venue.

Directions to Riverside County Park

From Allendale:

Take M-45 (Lake Michigan Drive) West

Turn Right to go north 104^th Street

104^th dead ends with N. Cedar Rd.

Turn Right to go east N. Cedar Road.

From the East:

Take 96 West to 196 West

Exit on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45), heading west

Turn Right to go north 104^th Street

104^th dead ends with N. Cedar Rd.

Turn Right to go east N. Cedar Road.

From the West:

Take 94 East to 196N/31N

Continue on 31 North toward Grand Haven

Turn right on Lake Michigan Drive (M-45) heading East

Turn Left to go north 104^th Street

104^th dead ends with N. Cedar Rd.

Turn Right to go east N. Cedar Road.
