Carnegie Lake Regatta Cancelled
We regret to announce that the Carnegie Lake Regatta, scheduled for Saturday, August 27, is cancelled. We do this not merely due to the severe weather forecast, but due to governmental precautions that are closing roads and transit. Even if Irene held off during the regatta, getting home looks like it would be very diffcult for all participants, near or far. CLRA has worked hard to make this year’s regatta this a memorable event…but we want that to be for the right reasons! In making this decision, our first—and last—thought is safety, both on the water and on the road. We appreciate your understanding, and we hope to see you at next year’s Laker Regatta.
