  1.  General Rules- United States Rowing Association Rules of Racing shall apply, unless otherwise noted.
  2. Bow Numbers- Bow and coxswain shirt numbers will be provided at registration to crews who have properly submitted their entry materials (entry forms, signed waivers and fees). Crews without both bow and coxswain shirt numbers will not be permitted to launch. Bow numbers must be returned to the dock area after racing. Shirt numbers are to be worn on the
    back of the bow person of the boat. In a bow coxed boat, the coxswain number must be worn on the back of the bow rower.  
  3. Boats must enter the starting chute in order. Boats not at the staging area near the chute when their turn at the chute arrives will not be allowed to race. All crews should allow a minimum of 40 minutes to launch and row to the start line, in order to make their scheduled event. Teams should allow enough time to adjust for weather conditions.
  4. Crews wishing to hot seat either boats or rowers shall notify the dockmaster at the time of launch and at the time of recovery. The dockmaster will help facilitate hotseating to the greatest degree possible.
  5. Dockmasters are in charge of the order and activity of boats at the launch and recovery docks. In addition, our dockmasters are valued members of the regatta staff. Subject to the direction of any referee, boats are requested and required to follow the directions of the dockmasters in determining the order of who launches or docks. Failure to follow the directions of the dockmasters may result in the disqualification your boat. Abuse of the dockmaster WILL result in the disqualification of your boat, with no return of your event fees.
  6. Junior clubs are allowed to participate in the high school and open categories.

  7. In the case of a tie, the winner of the Speakmon Cup shall be determined by the greater number of first place finishes.
