The 2012 edition of the Sarasota Invitational will be our third year. Updated Thursday, February 9, 2012
In our inaugural year, we had over 300 boat entries and over 600 competitors registered.
Last year, we had over 450 boat entries and over 1,000 competitors - a more than 50% increase! We are expecting another increase this year, although probably not 50%!
In 2011, the course finished at the 1500 meter mark on the lake. Although we had planned to finish at the new 2000 meter point this year, construction issues resulted in moving the finish line back to the 1500 meter mark as last year.
All starts will be from a fixed platform - 1500 meters for Saturday races and 1000 meters for Sunday races.
