Expanded Rough Water Races Sponsored by ALDEN ROWING
- Open and Masters Full-Course Chase for Rough Water Singles on Saturday
- “Viking Venture," also for Open and Masters Rough Water Singles, on Sunday.
- In addition to Head of the Schuylkill Regatta medals, the male and female rough-water competitors that record the fastest combined time for both events will earn the title of "Most Awesome Viking."
- Alden will present two trophies named after real Norse heroes who established the first, albeit short lived, Viking settlement in North America circa 1010 AD. The "Thorfinn Karlsefni" trophy will go to the fastest male and the "Gudrid Thorbjarnardottir" trophy to the fastest female.
- Row the course for practice on Friday, October 26, from 12:30 – 6:00pm
