Blake Haxton Fall Invitational

  • Hosted By: Upper Arlington Crew, Inc.

The Blake Haxton Invitational Regatta is a youth/high school only regatta. All entrants must be fulltime students meeting all academic requirements at their public or private high school. Unless otherwise approved by the regatta committee, no post-graduates are eligible to compete.

Entries are limited to invited crews each year.

All teams making entries are expected to submit online waivers, complete lineups and also meet the entry fee cap of $850 per team. Teams are determined by the 2013 spring and fall racing seasons entries at any prior head or championship regattas. If your team includes both boys and girls, the cap is $850. If your team is boys only, the cap is $850; girls only, $850. The per event fees are only for special entries approved by the regatta committee. Teams are expected to enter a minimum of 1 varsity 8, 2 varsity fours, 1 novice 8, 2 novice fours.

Seeding is used from last year's varsity event results. The starts are performed "Henley-style" with two crews starting through the chute at the same time.

The course is a fully buoyed 5000m course. Crews are expected to be able to navigate the buoys without crossing through the main buoy line. There is no advantage to "cutting the course." Following the main buoy line will result in the shortest course.
