In 2003, the City of Lawrence decided to revive its once-famous boating tradition. With the support of the Mayor, local business, and the Greater Lawrence Communtiy Boating Program, the Lawrence Celebration Regatta was launched. Attracting crews from throughout New England, this event has become a local favorite to kick-start the summer sprint season.
The site on the historic Merrimack River is ideal for both racing and spectating. Plenty of nearby picnic space and boathouse amenities make this an event for the whole family.
