The Dallas Rowing Club held its first BLAST (Bachman Lake Annual Sprint Trials) in 1983 for colleges only.
Starting in 1986 a Masters Heavyweight 4X and a Masters Lightweight 4X became the breakthrough masters boats
opening up the venue to other events.
Since then BLAST has evolved to include high school/scholastic, juniors, open, masters, and adaptive rowing events.
Now BLAST is a two-day event with the masters racing on Saturday and the juniors racing on Sunday.
This year marks the 31st anniversary of our celebrated event!
