Row for the Cure - Seattle

  • Hosted By: Pocock Youth Rowing
  • 2016 Registered Regatta

Seattle's 15th annual Row for the Cure® offers rowers and paddlers their first head race for the fall season AND their chance to raise funds for breast cancer screening, support and research.  Again this year's goal is to raise $100,000.

New this year:

  • Awards of two pink sweep oars to the top fundraising masters team/club and to the top fundraising junior crew.

  • Limited edition hot pink Headsweats race hats to the first 50 individuals raising $250 and one hat for every $250 raised by a junior crew.

  • Everyone encouraged to "Pull your weight!  Donate!" (Give the amount you weigh.)

  • In addition to the traditional 9:45 a.m. post-race ceremony at Pocock Rowing Center, this year hospitality (coffee and donuts) at Lake Washington Rowing Club and Seattle Rowing Center

Again this year:

  • Show Us Your Pink costume competition for most creatively using PINK. Komen volunteers to judge.  Winners featured on the 2105 Row for the Cure poster.

  • Two round -rip tickets on Kenmore Air to either the San Juan Islands or Victoria for the individual who raises the most money.

Your money helps:

From your contributions Komen carefully chooses local organizations to compensate for providing underserved women with breast cancer education, cancer screening and support during treatment.  Komen also directs your donations to ground-breaking research to find the cure.
