10th Annual Lift Bridge Regatta Moves Back to Sunday

The 10th Annual Lift Bridge Regatta will take place on Sunday, September 28, 2014. The racing begins at 8:00 AM and generally finishes at about 3:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.

This year we return to a Sunday race day.

Rochester Fringe Festival

On Saturday, September 27, the Rochester Fringe Festival will present over 60 musical and other shows starting in the morning and continuing through the evening at various venues in Rochester, about 10 miles from the regatta site. Details are available at the web site (http://rochesterfringe.com/shows/page/5). One of the performances, with free admission, is the University of Rochester Yellow Jackets, an a cappella group that competed on NBC television's "The Sing Off." They will be performing at the outdoor Gibbs Street (off of East Avenue) main stage starting at 7:05 pm.

O'Connor Road Relocated

This year, O'Connor Road, which intersects with Route 31F, Fairport Road, has moved. it's new location is at the intersection that has a Mobil gas station on the corner. If you want to park at Perinton Park's lower parking lot, use the new O'Connor road to get there, then walk to the boathouse using the Canal path. Do NOT cross Route 31F on foot.
