Spectator Parking & Team Tent Map
Please refer to our spectator parking map for details

Please note that we've set up the team tent area on the pavement so tent stakes are not possible.  Please bring cinderblocks or water jugs to weigh down your tent.  River water can be used to fill the water jugs when you arrive.

Just as a side note - we set up the street area for team tents to be closer to the dock.  We've got a great new River's Edge park and amphitheater project coming up, which will not be quite finished by the regatta.  Team tents are not allowed to set up at the River's Edge Park due to the Wheel & Heel usage of the park and the construction.

  • Blue areas - ok to park
  • Red area - DO NOT PARK
  • Green area - team tents

Food Trailer Parking
Food Trailers may be carefully pulled in next to your team area.  Please be respectful of trailers pulling in and teams setting up while doing this.  Spaces are on a first come, first served basis and please only take the space your team requires in an effort to get everyone a great location.

Volunteer & Referee Parking
Our volunteers will be parking at Hamilton Knife and Tool just north of GMRC on B Street.  Please do not park at Inloes as we've done in previous years, that will be for trailers only.  Also, please do not park at GMRC or at the nearby apartment complex.  Please refer to our volunteer parking map for details.

Trailer Parking
All trailers will pull into the gravel lot at the corner of Park & B Street and one team truck may stay with each trailer during the day.  All other coaches must park on the streets nearby or in the spectator parking areas.  Please note that B Street will be closed for rigging during the day and ONLY tow vehicles will be allowed past the barracades.  Please refer to our trailer parking map for details.

All boats will be stored on top of the levee wall.  We do not anticipate a lot of congestion on the access ramp during the day, so we will keep our boats up top.  Please do not put any boats in the red areas as these area provide access to the businesses and residents of this area.

  • Blue area - Trailer Parking
  • Purple area - Rigging and boat storage
  • Red area - Please keep boats clear of these areas
  • Yellow area - Access ramp to the water
  • Black area - Launching/Landing dock
  • White area - Control Commission

Vendor Parking
Vendors will be permitted 1-2 vehicles behind their designated space on the bridge after the completion of the Wheel & Heel.  Between 7:30 AM and   These will be by permit, so when you set up in the morning please stop by the GMRC concessions tent to pick up your permit.  This assures that the vendors have close parking for loading and unloading their merchandise.  Please refer to our vendor parking map for details.

  • Blue area - Vendor tents - this is in the curb lane of High Street.  The second lane of traffic will be the Wheel & Heel 5k route in the morning and vendor parking once the event is over.
  • Green area - Bleachers for spectators to sit on
  • Orange area - Spectating, this is where most of the spectators will watch the race from
  • Yelow area - Team Tent setup, the rowers will spend much of their day here or on the bridge.  When it is time to race they will walk across the bridge to the west side of the river to compete.
