Head of the Genesee

  • Hosted By: Genesee Waterways Center, Inc.

This regatta formerly  was known as the Stonehurst Capital Invitational Regatta.

The event brings more than 800 collegiate competitors to the area and has become a popular fall festival for the greater Rochester region, drawing more than 10,000 spectators annually to the banks of the Genesee River and Genesee Valley Park.

The Head of the Genesee Invitational Regatta is co-hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology, the University of Rochester, the Rochester Business Alliance and the Genesee Waterways Center.

Note for Coaches:

Please download the participant waiver form from the Regatta Central website.

This is not a USRA regatta, and you must use the waiver form on this website.  (It is the waiver from

the University of Rochester and RIT).   If you are a high school crew, you will have to have parents sign waivers for students. You can bring one waiver per student, then staple them together for each boat.

In order to receive registration materials upon arrival, signed waivers must be handed in on Saturday prior to the practice row or on Sunday prior to racing.
