4-23-15 @ 11:51 PM: Updated LOGISTICS

UPDATE: Coxswain Weigh-ins will begin on Friday, April 24 and go from 3 PM - 5 PM at Richard Stockton's boat trailer.  Tom Hewitt, the Richard Stockton Head Coach, will be responsible for weigh-ins.  If you are unable to weigh-in then, they will resume on Saturday morning at 6:30 AM by the Pavilion.  

FINISH LINE AREA: John Mohme, our chief referee, asked me to pass this information on regarding the finish-line area:

"No one shall impede the finish-line referee's view of the course.  Red or orange shirts of jackets shall not be within 30 feet of the Finish.  Outside distractions (cowbells, horns, etc.) are not permitted.

For assistance,  please review the Finish Area procedures on pages 103 through 108 of the 2015 Rules of Rowing.  There will be no deviation from these concepts.
 
Also, with regard to protests:
"Section III SPECIAL RACE SITUATIONS
1) Protest Hearings
 
(1) Matters Subject to Protest
  • To the extent that Race Officials acting within the scope of their duties make explicit findings of fact, those findings shall be final.
    • Such findings include:
      • Referee: whether a Crew was out of its lane.
      • Judge at Start: whether a Crew left the starting line early.
      • Chief Judge: order of finish."
 
 
Also, please review the requirements of paragraph  2-409, Outside Assistance.  I consider drones and Go-Pros "outside assistance", unless US Rowing specifically addresses them in the future.  Their use during an event might lead to exclusion.
