Plan ahead for getting your athletes to the site.  If your parents are carpooling and do not have a permit, you may want to plan on using some of your permits to shuttle your athletes into the venue.  We will do our best with the shuttles, but at peak times (6am to 8am on Sunday) we may be limited in our ability to get athletes to the site in a time efficient way.  Please plan ahead.

Food Trucks:

There will be food trucks at the venue both Saturday and Sunday.  Please tell your parents to feel free to use them.  We get no $$ from the food trucks, but supporting them keeps them coming back.

Boat Trailers:

Trailers are welcome to come into the park on Friday anytime (before 6pm) and Saturday morning (from 6am to 8:30am).  It is important that you understand space will be at a premium.  Please wait until the trailers are all parked before you begin laying out slings.  If there are trailers that cannot arrive before 8:30am on Saturday, you need to contact us immediately.

We need to fit all the trailers in one lot.  Please let us know when you will be arriving.  This is important, as we have to park many trailers, and all trailers need to be parked before any boats are off-loaded.  Space for boats will be tight, so please help us to make it a good experience for everyone.

Information for Racing

Coaches & Cox Meeting:

Saturday at noon at the Finish Line

Boat Check for Mussels:

Please remember every boat must be checked for Quagga Muscles before launching.  If you launch without a blue tag on your boat you will be disqualified.  This puts our site and our ability to run regatta’s here in jeapordy.  To pass the muscle inspection, boats must be dry inside and out and need to be clean.  We will start checking boats at 8:30 Sunday morning.  That is the earliest we can unload trailers as well.  Remember if your boats don’t pass the inspection, you can’t launch.  So, please come prepared.

Starting Line:

We are hoping to use a starting platform for the races to facilitate starting.  This will require your crews to be able to back into a stake boat and to scull.  Please help us with this.   Please teach your crews to listen to the starter.  We will do our best to have a fair and calm start.

Bow Numbers:

Please use Bow Numbers for your lanes, it will make it easier for our finish line.

Lightweight Weigh-ins:

There will be no Weigh-ins at Faultline.

Hotel options

You can stay in Walnut Creek, a little farther, but a great place for the kids to be able to go find dinner on their own, etc… (about 15 miles to the course) Also, this might be the least traffic, although there shouldn’t be much traffic on the weekends.

You can stay in Oakland (about 12 miles to the course)  Possiblility of traffic on Saturday Afternoon, but it is an easy drive and free bus parking.

You can stay in Albany, questionable area with athletes.(12 miles to the course)  You are welcome to stay here, but I don’t recommend it and am not going to recommend any hotels there, if you do this, remember that it is right on the border of Richmond and you do not want to stay in Richmond.
