WEIGH INS WILL BE OPEN THURSDAY, MAY 27TH FROM 3PM-8PM AND FRIDAY, MAY 28TH FROM 6AM-10AM.

SRAA® Lightweight Rules

  • Men’s Weights: 150 lbs. (no averaging)
  • Women’s Weights: 130 lbs. (no averaging)
  • All lightweight rowers including potential substitutes must have submitted online a verified health certificate (www.sraa.net) dated between August 1st and April 1st of the regatta year.
  • Certification must be completed by a licensed athletic trainer.
  • Certificates will not be accepted the day of the regatta.
  • Teams that do not submit the SRAA® health certificate to the SRAA® by the April 1st deadline will not be permitted to row at the regatta in a lightweight category.

Weigh-in Procedures

  • USRowing rule 4-106 does not apply for this regatta.
  • Rowers must bring a picture ID

Rowers are only required to weigh in once for the entire regatta.

  • Weigh ins will be open on Thursday, May 26th from 3pm-8pm and Friday May 27th from 6am-10am.
  • There are no test scales available.
  • All weigh-in procedures must be completed two hours prior to the published race time.
  • Rowers scheduled in the earlier races will be given priority.
  • All rowers and coxswains must be present by boat in their team uniform (uni) for weigh-ins.
  • Coxswains do not weigh in.
  • All substitutes will weigh in with their boat mates.
  • Weigh-ins will be conducted as a pass/fail system without actual weight being announced.
  • Rowers that do not make weight on the first try will be excluded from all lightweight events for the entire regatta.
  • Rowers making weight must attach the lightweight wristband before leaving the weigh-in area.
  • Sweep rowers must attach the wristband to their “outside” hand.
  • Wristbands are to remain in place until the conclusion of rowing in the regatta.
  • Problems with wristbands must be brought to the attention of the referee in charge of weigh-ins.
  • Food is not permitted in the weigh-in area.
  • Taking photographs in the weigh in area is prohibited.

1.  HIPAA Authorization Form

This form must be completed by the lightweight athlete’s parent or guardian and provided to the trainer.
Download a copy of the 2016 HIPAA form.

2. Online  Lightweight Health Certificate

Please have the certifying athletic trainer fill out and submit online the Lightweight Health Certificate.

By submitting the form the Athletic Trainer acknowledges that they have received consent from the athlete or athlete guardian to provide the information to the SRAA®

Scholarship Application

The SRAA® is pleased to announce the 4rth Annual student-athlete scholarship for graduating senior rowers.  We are offering two $4,000 grand prize scholarships to one female rower and one male rower. We will also be offering two $1,000 runner up scholarships to one female rower and one male rower. The qualified applicants must be a member of a scholastic rowing program, be a student in good standing, and attending a college, university, or institute of higher learning in the fall.

All portions of the application are to be completed online by May 1, 2016.
