Race Site & Parking:

Saturday July 21, 2007 is also the final day of the Ann Arbor Art Fair. Traffic in and out of town after 9:00 am will be difficult. Further, do not attempt to take any route to the regatta site that takes you through downtown Ann Arbor such as I-94 to State St. or Main St. Exits. As always, the best way for trailers to get to the regatta site is by getting on M14 West and getting off at the “Downtown” exit as the boathouse is only a few hundred feet off the exit.

There are two large parking areas in front of and beyond the area around the boathouses and dock.  However, no vehicles other than trailers and the vehicle pulling the trailers will be allowed to park in the center area by the launch.  This includes cars for those bringing their singles or doubles.  An area will be set up to drop off your single or double but your car cannot stay in that area. Please bring slings for your boats.

Parking for non-trailering members:
From the race site, go north on Main St. and merge onto M-14, take the next exit, exit 4 Barton Drive; at the stop sign turn right onto Barton Drive.  To reach parking, take your first left, drive over the bridge, and drive to the back lot.  Park your car there and walk south back down the pathway to the boathouse (signs wil be posted).  If this lot becomes full, return to Barton Drive, and turn right so that you are headed southeast (the river will parallel on your right).  Turn right onto Long Shore Dr. so that you continue to drive parallel to the river for approximately 1,500 meters and come to the Argo Canoe Livery parking lot.  You will find yourself across the river from the launching area of the race site--walk south on the path toward Argo Dam; follow the walking path over the dam; once across the river follow the path north to the boathouse.
