Main staging is at Crown Point Shores Park, a city park within the City of San Diego.
There is a 2,000 meter bouyed course with eight lanes. The start-line is under the
SeaWorld sky ride and the finish line is between Ski Island and Crown Point to the north.

If a final only event has 8 entries or if an event with two heats has 15 - 16 entries,
the eighth lane will be used.
