South Side Smackdown Sponsorship Opportunities

Planning has begun for the second annual 2017 South Side Smackdown! Last year's inaugural indoor rowing race took place at the Bridgeport Art Center and drew over 200 athletes, excited to compete.

The excitement and energy in the room was palpable. The morning races started with the traditional 2K where high school, collegiate and masters athletes had the opportunity to set new personal records and cheer on their team mates. Unique and team driven afternoon events like the stationary doubles and doubles on sliders races gave rowers more opportunities to race, have fun, and pair up for a challenge.

Our goal last year was to break even on the event, aiming to provide a unique and fun experience on the erg. The response was phenomenal, positive and promising. This year we are featuring an adaptive and middle school category, making the event more inclusive and accessible. We are counting on you to make it possible for this race to grow and thrive in the years to come. We are eager to grow this event and hope you'll consider sponsoring the event at a level that's meaningful for you.
