GENERAL INFORMATION & RULES OF THE EVENT PDF  (added 11/12/13)

U15/J14/Junior C:  A rower or coxswain shall be defined as an Under 15 competitor until the 31st of December of the year in which he or she reaches the age of 14.

U17/J16/Junior B:  A rower or coxswain shall be defined as an Under 17 competitor until the 31st of December of the year in which he or she reaches the age of 16. After that date, the rower shall be classified as a Junior rower.

Youth/Junior: A Junior is a competitor who in the current calendar year does not attain the age of 19, or who is and has been continuously enrolled in secondary school as a full time student seeking a diploma. A competitor thus ceases to be a Junior after December 31 of the year of his or her 18th birthday, or of the year in which he or she completes the 12th grade of secondary school, having been a full time student, whichever is later. 

Lightweights: A lightweight crew is one that complies with the requirements below.

 (a) Men:

 (1) A men’s lightweight crew, including a single
 scull (1x), shall have no rower who weighs more than 165
lbs.
 
 (2) Men’s Junior and scholastic rowers shall have no rower that weighs more
than 155
lbs.
 
 (3) The coxswain shall not be counted for purposes of this rule.
 

(b) Women:

(1) A women’s lightweight crew, including a single scull (1x), shall have no
rower who weighs more than 135 lbs.

(2) The coxswain shall not be counted for
purposes of this rule.
 

Collegiate: Must be enrolled in college.

Championship:  Open to all athletes except Junior/U15/U17 athletes.

Master: A Master is a competitor who has attained or will attain the age of 21 during the current calendar year. A competitor’s age is determined as of December 31 of the current calendar year, rounded down to the highest contained integer. A competitor thus becomes a Master on January 1 of the year of his or her 21st birthday. A Masters crew shall be comprised exclusively of Masters rowers, but the coxswain need not be a Master. 

Coxswains Weight:

There will be no weigh-in for coxswains.

NO Boat weights

***There will be a 10.00 fee for each bow number that is not returned to the LOC upon completion of racing.  Fees will be assessed and billed to each club, failure to pay will result in the club not being allowed to register the following years event.
